Default My & your favourite moments in movies.

This thread is about brief moments in movies that I or you absolutely love, a scene that for some reason got stuck in the head long after the movie.
For example in
Eastern Promises (spoiler ahead):
Where Anna's (Naomi Watts) scooter (motorized bike, whatever it's called) wasn't working anymore and Nikolai (Viggo Mortensen) had fixed it and was waiting outside the hospital for her. There was some back and forth talk right untill the point where she had to approach her fixed scooter were Nikolai was sitting upon.
At first she was hesitant to approach the scooter and Nikolai, to me that said
she was unwillingly attracted to him and a bit affraid of him.
Anna was a character that had a strong moral principal, Nikolai apparently was a right hand man of the russian mafia (apparently!) and she hated everything the mafia stood for.
Maybe she couldn't forgive herself for the mutual attraction and
that this man probably had killed people before for business reasons.
Here comes my favourite moment from the movie, she was hesitant to approach her scooter, right when she takes her first step, the camera follows her exact move, to me it was kind of a brave move of her.
And that simple camera move told the story between the characters for me. The attraction, the sexual
tension between them.
Write your favourite moment in any movie and if you believe my intrepretation of that scene is wrong, feel free to your own.

Gonna have to say the Joker's Pencil Trick in The Dark Knight, wow that was so crazy and from that point on The Joker was changed forever!

Haha! you're right, but mine is when The Joker was sticking his head out the moving car, the quality of the picture changed, the sound muted and everything else didn't matter anymore other than the joy The Joker got, remember that?

There are so many for me. But one that stands out is STAR WARS.
When that Star Destroyer hovers over the entire theater at the very beginning of the movie. I think that one scene alone touched an entire generation.

The Departed, hours after I was still shocked! it was THE most unexpected thing that ever happened for me.
Who'd know that it would happen like that?

I would of never guessed either, one of the most shocking endings in movie history!

Growing up mu OMG moment was in Jurassic Park whe T-rex eats the guy on the toilet. I have alway said what makes a movie great is when someone gets eaten by an extinct animal while sitting on the crapper.

One that sticks in my mind is from The Shining. Near the end when Jack just finished killing Mr Halloran, that crazy smile and deranged look in his eyes scared me more then the little girl ghosts.

Hard to pick just one but here are a few I really liked.

The end scene when the Joker and Batman are talking and he is hanging upside down.
Bank scene in Heat
Tea scene in Fearless with the Japanese fighter
When Mel Gibson thinks his son gets killed in Ransom and he is out on the balcony

Those are just a few but they all effected me in some way that just stuck with me.

Another good one...

In Jaws where he blows Jaws up by sniping him with a M1 Garand...priceless moment for me!

Ya love stuff that blows up, don't cha?

A great scene indeed.
I personally think that the Martin Brody chumming scene is more memorable. Seeing the shark pop it's head out for the first time, gave us a clear look at what they were up against.
And that scene gave us one of the most famous lines ever,"You're gonna need a bigger boat".
