i beg to differ. I think it was one of the worst looking Blu Rays I have ever seen. I was very dull and not very sharp. I wasn't expecting any kind of pop but I was expecting more detail and clarity.

I also thought it was a pretty bad movie as well but that had nothing to do with my picture quality opinions.

Yea, this film is a touch underrated imo and is a must own blu. One of Denzel's and Russell Crowe's best films not to mention the supporting cast. Easily a 4/5 Plus, please don't be offended by my avatar as I got the pic straight from this site. What a beautiful shot!!!

I bought it at BB when it was $14.99. But, I have yet to see it. Maybe I will get a chance to watch it sometime this week. (If I can break away from COD and RE5)

yeah I don't think this PQ is as good as it could have been, not bad, but I was expecting more. The movie itself is awesome though, I really enjoyed it.

This is one mediocre looking blu-ray-- now to be fair-- the movie was shot
in drab colors so there ain't much "pop" on the screen---but even with that
in mind-- this is definately not a reference quality blu-ray

Agreed. Plus I love how they also included the extended version to accompany the theatrical, as well as bolster the release with a nice amount of supplemental material too.

I must get around to picking this up when it's on sale locally. I thought it was pretty damn good. Only watched it on HBOHD so I'm lookin forward to the BD.

I was rather disappointed with this movie. I still think that Casino and Goodfellas are the best gangster movies of the last 30 years. Pubic Enemy with Cagney being the best from that long forgotten movie era.

I have to agree the picture quality is soft compare to some of the other title out there but it is a very good movie..for those who have seen it as yet make sure that you look at the extended edition, it does the story justice..

This is based on a true story. But this isn't a bright and colorful movie anyway. I liked the movie but don't know if I like enough to buy the BD. Its on cable a lot. Now Man on Fire & Training Day is a different story. Now if the extended version has more action then I may check it out.

Once Upon a Time in America was good also as well as Hoodlum and Cotton Club is underrated.

I loved A.G. I think if you were alive during the time the movie is set in you appreciate the movie even more. Scott captured the look and feel of the times perfectly.
