police certifiable Blu-ray case - Blu-ray Forum

i bought the police certifiable blu ray from best buy a couple of months ago, i paid 35 bucks for it (i never pay this much for a title but it was a best buy exclusive and i love the police) and come to find that the case is the worst case ever created. The disc are in no way held in place, you have to carefully place them in their positions and hope that they dont fall out. I go to best buy today to find that it is now in a traditional blu ray case. Im really pissed about this and i want my case to be replaced with the new one. Is anyone else is the same shoes as me, has anyone actually replaced the shit case for this release?

Go buy it again...and the next day return the old one to get your money back.

oh no the disc works just fine, its the awful case that is the problem. The case is not "defective" as it functions as it was intended, unfortunatly it is absoutly terrible and does not hold the discs. The new case is a traditional blu ray case, i just want the case i have to be replaced with the new cases they are using.

haha im an idiot, didnt catch your sarcasim, i dont know if i want to do that as the best buy i visit is really good to me and i would feel a lil guilty about lying. We will see maybe that is an option, i do feel riped off with this shitty casing they provided.

Well, if you want a new case...do that..just return the old one and say it was defective and you want your cash back.

The Case is Junk ! Mine has the same problem . The Discs fall out all of the time . Worried it will fall on the ground or scratch .

Not sure what the heck they were thinking ..

By the way, I watched it for the first time last Saturday. It's best PQ I have seen from an original video source, not film.

Man, you took a pounding...I got it about six weeks back, paid $22, at Best Buy.

I don't use cases, I have a binder with sleeves. I cut up the box (it was the cardboard kind like you have) and put those in clear plastic sleeves.

Problem solved. Blow off those blue jackets, man, they waste space and drive you crazy.

I got it at BB Canada for $24.99 (about $20 USD) when it was first released and I've had no problems with the case at all. But I understand your frustration. I bought the Pink Panther Boxset on DVD ( about 2-3 yrs ago) and it's the worst. Everythime I open it up a disc falls out. Just won't stay into place.

i have had a few dvd cases like that, babylon 5 comes to mind, i have seen some pretty cheap blank blu-ray sleeves posted on this site for the "adhesive residue" ocd group, maybe just get a pack of those.

OP,

Well it may be too late since you bought it a few months ago. Didn't you get to it till just recently? I make a point of getting to the ones I buy rather quickly in case of a problem so as I can return within the allotted period within their policy. Even then they probably didn't have any with the better case to offer you for an exchange.

Even if I had known they'd stop using that crap packaging I doubt I could have waited. Awesome concert. My case was replaced shortly after buying.

Yeah I want to say Argentina I bought mine a while ago, I can't believe they're selling it for $35 now! I paid like $18 for it a while back (new at Best Buy). Thought that was the going rate, guess I must have caught it on sale!
If it was me, I'd take it into the store, explain your problem to a manager, then point out the new packaging see if you can't work out some kind of exchange.
Either that or you could go the old "birthday" route. Got it as a gift, people bought it a while ago, had to open it up to make sure it worked. yadda yadda.
