PS3 Technical problem - Vertical White bar - Blu-ray Forum

I can see a faint vertical white bar that pans across my screen from right to left every second or so while watching or playing my PS3.

It is an older Sony tube 36" WEGA HDTV hooked up via an HDMI cable. Anyone know if this a hardware problem or perhaps some kind of feedback problem?

I don't remember which TVs were affected by this, but there were similar reports about early Sony HDTV HDMI incompatibility soon after PS3 launched.

I would suggest trying your PS3 via HDMI on another HDTV to make sure the problem isn't your PS3. If the PS3 works fine on another HDTV, it probably is an HDMI compatibility issue with your TV. Until you replace the TV, I'd suggest switching to component video inputs.
