What does it mean to "Jailbreak" an ipod touch? I want one but I am waiting for the 64 Gig.

That'd be September at the earliest. What does it mean to jailbreak an Ipod Touch though? I understand what it means on an Iphone, but not a Touch. I've got a 16 gb Touch and love it though. Use it on the internet more than my laptop.

For one, it will give me the ability to run an NES/SNES emulator and play old Nintendo games

check around on your local craigslist, there is someone floating around on mine in OKC offering jailbreaking for $20. however once done i don;t believe you can upgrade the firmware unless you want to get you itouch jailbroken again.

Jailbreaking is FREE! Do not pay for it! The second Gen iPod Touch can not be jailbroke, yet. I have 2 jailbroke iPhones that kick ace! There nothing it can't do.... & for FREE!

I'd recommend downloading as many free/lite versions of games as possible just to get an idea of what you like and then go from there. The limitations of the free/lite games get old quickly so you'll eventually find yourself buying games which most often vary from $1-$5.

It is a good thing that they put out the lite versions of some games and apps, there used to be no way to demo an app to see if it was worth spending the $$ on. sort of hard to tell how good an app is by just screenshots

Mine does too, I'm not sure if it works with T-Mobile, but I use my jailbroken 3G with AT&T and still have visual voicemail working

i have a friend with an unlocked iPhone that uses T-Mobile, and older iPhone, not the 3G
