Default Will a 35" stand handle a 42" tv?

Hi,

Im looking at the Sonax RX3500 stand, which says is for 35" tv's. But the tv Im going to get is Aquos 42inch.

I can't find the weight restriction for this stand anywhere and am wondering if it would be ok for that tv?

Dude, I Googled and checked a lot of different sites, and none of them gave crap as far as specs. One site said the item itself weighs 125 lbs, but I figure it is going to depend if this base is going on carpet or not, how big the TV base is and especially if you have any little kids around....look into the tip factor. Like to help you more, but I can't get anything on this one.

Thanks for trying! I couldn't find any info either, but I talked with the guy at the store and he seemed to think it would be fine, just that the tv would extend over the table since the width is greater.

your probably going to be fine, just take a look at the construction. Until recently, I used a stand I've had for years that used to hold my 32" CRT, and there was never an issue of the stand giving in and colapsing. The stand had shelves on the left and right side, and verticle wood (particle board) that pretty much was under the plasma stand, so the support was definately there. Hey, if dude tells you it's fine, and something happens, sue him!!!
