Most unnesasery thread ever! I need some fast recommendations. - Blu-ray Forum

Yeah yeah i know... but no one dies if i create another useless thread.

Basically i am selling my dvds and replacing for blu-rays.

Theres alot of movies i havent seen yet. So help me pick tonights choice.

1. Sleepers
2. Sling Blade
3. Varsity Blues

Which one folks? I havent seen any of them yet.

I'm gonna go with Sling Blade, with Sleepers as a close second, but Sleepers is a hard movie to watch.

Varsity Blues is probably the most entertaining of that batch, but Sling Blade is the best movie of the bunch. Sleepers is a slow moving, well acted film, but it doesn't scream for repeated viewings. I'd go with Varsity Blues.

Of the list provided I would have to pick Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter.

Sling Blade is a good movie boasting a great performance by Billy Bob Thornton.

Sleepers is an interesting flick. Mildly recommended.

Varsity Blues... Meh

Sleepers is the best movie, but Varsity Blues might be the most enjoyable, even though in many ways it is a rip-off of the book Friday Night Lights (according to FNL writer Buzz Bissinger). Guess it depends if you're in the mood for a good drama (Sleepers) or a funny movie with an awful Texas accent from Dawson Leery.

Seriously - how did Varsity Blues get put in with Sleepers and Sling Blade.

Anyway, Sling Blade left the biggest impression on me.

Sleepers.

Slingblade is overrated and almost comical if you watch it now because you have heard so many people do an impersonation of billy bob's character. James Vanderbeek's accent will kill you in that movie.
