Question What would you do?

Hey folks...new to the board. I have a PS3 and a just purchased a 65" Mitsubishi DLP. I have a Yamaha VX-2600 receiver and I have a choice to make.

Would you a) Have 1080p picture with optical audio output, or

b) Have 1080i picture with HDMI audio?

Seem to be some knowledgable folks here, so please advise....

THANKS!!!!!!

It all depends; you really need to tell us a bit more about your situation.

When you say HDMI audio, do you mean uncompressed HD audio? Or audio thru your TVs speakers.

I personally have 1080i HDMI with optical audio to my 7.1 receiver and am quite happy with the setup.

I would probably go with 1080p and optical output .. but that's just me.
