Default No sound on Aquos unless i change channel

whenever i first turn on my tv set, there's usually never any sound, until i change either the channel on the cable box or the tv's input. i believe it's a HDMI issue.

anyone any ideas?

I have the problem with my cable box sometimes, where I have no sound on recorded shows. It's Time Warner with a Motorola box.

It's inside the cable box. My receiver, connected via HDMI, will show HDMI is active and latched just fine. I have to fast forward if it's a recorded show, or on regular TV, change channels. Happens a few times per week, not every time, but I think it's inside the cable box.

I would think it is the box too. I had this problem with an old Com"crap" box that was a real pain in the a&%. Eventually I changed to DirectV and have been happy ever since.

Same problem here with my Comcast box. But, the weird thing is it never happened until after x-mas when I got my receiver. When it does happen on a recorded show I can usually hit rewind or fast forward to get sound back and when it's regular cable I just change the channel and it comes back.
