Apc H15 - Blu-ray Forum

I've had this thing hooked up for like a week. Is it supposed to be buzzing like crazy? Not noticeable when watching movies, but bad if you are within a few feet of it.

i dont have one but normally "buzzing" with any electronics is not generally a good thing. APC's come with a 5 year warranty, i would call and ask them about it.

I have the "J15" which is the same as the H15, but with an UPS added. It is dead silent except when it is actually supplying the main power. At that time there is fan noise to help cool the UPS (I assume).

something is wrong with yours. The H15 is dead quiet and cool, except for when compensating for lower or higher power coming in from the outlet, but even then it just makes a clicking noise. Call APC or email them right away, or just contact where you bought it from, and they should happily swap it out with another for you. Let us know when you get a new one.
