Hi everyone, this my Home theater setup that I build piece by piece to come together quite nicely. I'm slowly upgrading, so far I changed my Receiver, my sub, my fronts, my surrounds and my center.
I have also changed my speaker cables to Totem Tress. BTW John I really love those Totems ![]() AV Components: RECEIVER --> ARCAM AVR400 POWER AMP --> BRYSTON 6B-SST DAC --> Bel Canto 3.5vb dac BDP --> Oppo 83 Speakers: FRONT SPEAKERS --> Totem Forests Signature CENTER SPEAKER--> Totem Model One Signature Center SURROUNDS --> Totem Mites SUBWOOFER --> JL Audio Fathom f113 Here's a peak at it: ![]() View my full gallery Here Thanks to everyone in advance for all your great comments ![]() Olivier Last edited by BigAl87; 12-24-2016 at 04:29 AM. |

Hehe, I gave a hint in my opening post when I said John I love those Totems.
The plan is to upgrade my speakers for something I feel absolutely fantastic, Right now I really love the sound of the Totem Sttaf and the Rainmakers, I'm leaning more towards the Rainmakers as I would have 4 identical speakers plus matching Rainmaker center for multichannel music and HT which is better than the Mite T Center the matching center to the Sttaf. Although I like the Sttaf better strickly for music. I plan on getting a 5 channel Anthem MCA50 to drive the whole thing and run the back surrounds off the receiver. I will certainly get some Totem Lynks Bipole/Dipole down the road to complete the upgrade. I still want to audition to Dynaudio Excites though and some Focal Chorus. That's too bad because you don't often see them for that kind of price and yes the Anthem amps are dead quiet. Hopefully something like that will pop up again when your ready. The Anthem amps have two transformers, one runs the L/R and the other runs the center and surrounds. I have mine hooked up so the L and R and on different transformers, for two channel running my speakers full range the power supplies never get taxed. Great separation and I have yet to hear it distort. Another amp you should look into is the Nad M25, sometimes you can find factory refurb's for about $500 less than the MCA 50. It's supposed to be a fantastic amp, the dealer near me doesn't stock them so I've never heard one before.

Thanks alot qiong, as bad as it was before the firmware upgrade with all the sound dropouts and HDMI picture issues it has been great since and really HK receiver soound is noce warm and natural and they sound quite dynamic with their Hogh current design.
How do you like yours? |
