Default Let the Madness Begin

Today and tomorrow are my favorite days of the year. I'm referring of course to the beginning of the college basketball season. I love watching a full day of college basketball and seeing the upsets and instant classics. I've already got the live games window open on my computer, and the games don't start for almost 3 hours. Today is the first time in 3 years I get to watch Northern Iowa in the tournament, and am hoping to see them pull off the 12-5 upset of Purdue. Who else is excited for this weekend?

Count me in.....taking Duke, NC, Louisville and Memphis. Not really going out on a limb here, but I feel there is some seperation from the top 1-2 seeds in each region from everyone else.

So you ALSO just about had a heart attack when Memphis was down to Cal State Northridge?!

I have them losing to UNC in the finals, hoping they can make it that far now. Two out of three so far, lost Butler.

Yup, thankfully, they wound up winning 81-70 which on paper looks like a good win but they were down for most of it.

LSU beat Butler
Texas A&M beat BYU

Currently:
UNI vs. Purdue
UNC vs. Radford
Maryland vs. California
UConn vs. Chattanooga

It appears as if I am going to take my first loss, for some reason I picked Mississippi State to knock off Washington. I was hoping their momentum would carry them onto round two. I guess I was wrong.

Tourney sucks thus far, no upsets. I was hoping Cal State Northridge would pull that huuuuge shocker against Memphis. They certainly had their chance.

You and me both, I feel really stupid about that one since everyone else in my pool has Washington haha. Hopefully Purdue can even things out for me and take out Washington, but their defense looks good right now. I got off to a really shaky start last year but had Davidson in the Elite 8 so that brought me back.
