Transformers blu ray doesnt play on acer laptop! - Blu-ray Forum

Hey anyone help
Acer aspire 6930g can play 300 and AVP and Chronicles of Riddick blu ray but transformers doesnt play past th opening credits, tried power dvd 9 ultra and it says unsuported disc in drive???
How do I overcome this? anyone help at all?

Havent got another disc to try, all my other titles play fine!! Laptop is only month old tried to update firmware but no need. dont know wot else to try?? I just wanna watch the film on my laptop, any ideas guys?? please help

Get and try the ArcSoft TMT 3 Platinum trial.
Trailers may not have sound, but the main movie should - mine all have.

is this a common problem with diff titles?? ive only got 4 disc so far as new bd lappy?

REMEMBER!!!
No Dolby playback in this version - yet.
Trailers and loading screens may *NOT* have audio!
Depending on settings, main movie may not have audio either.
Be sure DTS is selected and audio should play fine *on the main movie*.

How do i change it to DTS on the trial version or do i have to buy the full version?

Mine - trial - selected it by itself.
The trailers had no audio, the loading screens had no audio - the main movie played fine.

how long does the trial last? My dell inspiron 1525 does not play wall-e or the dark knight as i think it has do w/ bd live. I use the dell media software that came w/ the laptop and tried to update it to no avial. just kept telling me I needed to update it. I have not tried any of the releases since the dark knight.

ArcSoft TMT 3? 15 days.

Acer should come with Acer Arcade Deluxe, try updating that from the settings menu (it doesn't work from the play menu for me), and everyhting should work nicely. You could also look to update you're blu ray driver.

There's also no point buying power dvd ultra by cyberlink either if you have acer arcade deluxe, as they are the same thing, just with a different skin.
