Angry Terminator 2 blu-ray theatrical version only?

I just bought the T2 Blu-ray disc and noticed that it is only the theatrical (edited) version and with very few extra features. The original DVD I had of this movie was filled with many extra features and included the special edition with another 20 minutes put back into it.

Is there any reason why the distributors of movies as famous as this would release it with so many limitations?

I might as well just stick with the regular DVD otherwise.

Had the same let down with "All the King's Men" in the standard dvd they had this great extra showing the stars and screenwriters talk about the novel and writer etc... Blu-ray releases everything kicked up a notch...but no extra

Not good

So that they can re-release it later on as an "Ultimate Blu-ray edition" and then eventually "Extreme Blu-ray edition" now with extra features.
Sony is going to do it with the fifth element "now remastered!"

Never buy things blindly before doing research. I have a very solid bridge to sell.

The same thing happened with the DVD versions. I owned 2 or 3 versions at once to get the latest and greatest. I'll be waiting for the 'Ultimate/Extreme' version on BluRay this time.
