Default Looking to get my first receiver, any help appreciated

Hi everyone,

I am looking to get a new 4k HDR TV and have one all picked out. I am a complete novice when it comes to the audio portion though and have never had anything more than a 5.1 and even that is with a soundbar that doubles as a receiver? IDK it was like $400 total including all the speakers, feel free to razz I know it's sad :-)

So I want to upgrade and like a good internet person I tried to read the back threads before asking silly questions. So many have started years ago though and I don't really see a good place to start, plus a lot of it is greek to me.

I'd like to spend somewhere like maybe $1200 on everything if possible give or take $200 if needed. I'm a big movie fan and want to start getting UHD Blu-rays and so something with Atmos or DTS:X would be preferred? After reading some comments here about Denon I found one at Best Buy for $522 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/denon-12...?skuId=3510554 That would be like 40% or so of the total budget not sure if that is a good goal. That is a clearance one and seems to have good reviews, there is a newer model for $580 but when I do the compare it doesn't seem like anything is different.

I'm looking to see if anyone has any insight if that would be a good one for my purposes or if I am on the complete wrong track. I would like to get most if not all at best buy if that changes any recommendations since they have the interest free for 2 years. Also for the setup I will have the ceiling are kind of high so I don't know if that deters an Atmos setup (if that is even anything in my price range)

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond all comments are welcome
