Pigeon Glitch in Grand Theft Auto IV?

Has anyone else experienced an issue when trying to find and shoot all 200 pigeons in GTA IV?

I have gone through 2 complete times now (using guides) and I have shot all 200 pigeons. The game says that I have only shot 199. The 2nd time I went through I marked each one off from my checklist so I know that I got all of them, but it still says only 199.

I am at 97.5% game completion and this 200th pigeon is the last thing I need to get to 100% and my hidden packages trophy. Frustrating would be a sever understatement at this point.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

weird, cause it got all of em for me, are you sure you got them all?

I am POSITIVE. I have looked very carefully at each location listed in the guides (even the few that have "double pigeons") and there is nothing. I am ready to throw this game out my window.

Same thing has happened to me. I only went over it once and I have 198/200. I'm pretty sure I missed them though. I'm going to go over it again soon.

My advice is to check for Pigeons you think you might have missed or to start over.

have you ever used any cheats to refill ammo or anything? In the old GTAs, if even one cheat was used, it would hide one of the packages on you. Not sure if the same applies here.

Yeah, it does actually....so I've heard. Don't use cheat codes other than the map ofcourse.

Yes, I have used the refill ammo cheat code a few times, but none of the packages were ever "hidden" on me. I actually shot each one of the 200 and then at the end it said that I only got 199. It's weird.

If I have to start over and go through this entire game again (it'd be my 4th time going through it all again) I am going to cry. Between trophy patches, hard drive malfunctions, and now pigeon hunting I have spent entirely too much time on this game. Please hold the "at least you got your money's worth" jokes. They stopped being funny after the 3rd time through.

In 3 I found all the packages using cheats.

Now I know using cheats in San Andreas you couldn't get 100% completion if you saved the game after using the cheats.

Anyways, I had the same problem, I'm 100% positive we got all the pigeons, and it says 198, but that was before the Trophy patch, and I haven't touched the game since. I hated it.

It's dedication... and Getting very Frustrated. I was Pregnant at the time and couldn't work.

Exactly! It's my obsession to obtain trophies that is driving me at this point, not my love for GTA.

Well it doesn't sound as if anyone knows of a fix, but at least I now know I'm not alone in this. That provides at least some comfort.

this is still one of the few trophies i dont have on GTA, along with the stay 6 star wanted for 5 min and the fly under every bridge, i really hope i dont end up having this glitch, i havent used any cheats, so i should hopefully be ok, i guess well see

has anyone had a problem with the fly under every bridge trophy in this game? i swear ive flown under all of them on the same trip and nothing happened

If you are missing one bridge, it is most likly the one near the Nuclear power plant. It is under the highway, but you must go under the part that has the metal gurders under it which is not over water.
Basically right where the body armor is in the map http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps3/file/933036/55686

To get 6 start for 5 min. Go to the Heli tours place and kill cops till you get 6 stars. Then jump in a chopper and fly around till you get the trophy. If you even want to escape the 6 stars, then fly the the statue of happiness and on the East side of the island is a Squalo. Hop in and head towards the East Algonquin river and go under the bridges. you will slowly outrun the police choppers by going under the bridges. Circle the island till you are free. My record is escaping a 33min 6 start police chase using that as my evac rout. Never fails once you know it.
