looks great for space you have to work with, which isnt much. once suggestion though. Vertical PS3 on the carpet is not very stable. If it were me i would even stagger the center a little to make room on the stand for the PS3. Or if your content on leaving it where it is, get something solid (like a small piece of wood) and lay the PS3 horizontal on that. then it would be ok on the carpet.

You could also pull your TV forward, closer to the front of the shelf and the place the PS3 vertical behind the TV. Ive see that done many times.

Got to Admit, You pulled off really really beautiful system in a bedroom. I hate the Bedroom idea because of the limited space, but you pulled it off bro. 10/10 !

first off, thank you for posting your gallery and a new thread regarding your HT setup. i didnt want to end up ruining the other thread and prefer to make suggestions separately.

very nice setup by the way, and im glad that your enjoying your current polks compared to your previous HTIB.

so, first off,

Center speaker - ive always believed that my mopads have been the quintissential purchase ive made regarding acoustics, and a definite starting point. one, you dont need to make numerous measurements to get it right, and two, its 40 bucks. the best 40 bucks ive ever spent. check out our thread in the acoustics area, and you would see the link. better yet will link it later on. back on topic. your current center is directing sound almost directly to the foot of your bed. can you angle it enough (flipping it upside down, the angle footing is used for that), and do a comparison as to how it sounds in your sweet spot, and see if you'd like the difference. ive mentioned mopads because in this regards, you can also elevate the speaker AND decouple it from your TV stand, using them. fuller sound, and definitely clearer soundstage is created when you accomplish this.

Fronts - try to toe in a tad further, or pull them around an inch or two away from the walls. just to see how it works out for you. i understand that most of the time we are at the mercy of how our room size can be, or the WAF or other variables, but just give it a try.

when the time comes, you can try to treat your room for your fronts, placing
two acoustic panels on the sides of the room about 6 inches from them. reason being is to avoid the reflections that you are currently hearing, giving you the speaker sound and not the rooms interaction with them. heck a simple trick to try is using two heavy blankets if you want, and hang them parallel your fronts, just for kicks.

Subwoofer - whats the distance against the wall? great job on not positioning it in the corner, or you might end up with a boomy signal instead. can you try to pull it just a tad further out? again, trial and error and see what works for you.

id recommend a SPL meter, and hopefully that helps out. its probably the second thing id suggest for you to purchase if you'd like to further learn more about Home theaters.

great job for starters, and hopefully you play around with it a tad, and see what the results are. i hope not to have offended you with any of my suggestions, thank you for keeping an open mind towards them.

jomari, thanks alot for your suggestions. cant find the thread for the mopads i will look for it later on. id rather do what you said than mounting my tv and putting the center on top because i recently painted the wall and dont really want to put holes in it at the moment. the acoustic panel is also a great idea. may have to look into that! i will experiment more with the speaker placement in my room and find out which sounds best thanks for your input though

mbader, the dresser is by the wall near the door. ill post pics of the rest of my room soon
