Default Can you watch DirectTv on a PC TV tuner card?

I got an external tv turner card (Kworld) that has s video, audio and video plus + antenna plug, will this work with Dish Network? i had windows vista, will the window media center show my cables?

Will it show your cables? I'm not sure I'm following that wording. Not trying to be smart or anything; I'm just not following.

Do you want to know whether your Windows computer will accept the inputs and then play the audio and video through your computer? If the jacks on your tuner card are inputs, then it should work. I suppose the video card on your computer would have to be able to handle the job if you're interested in high-quality signal, but I'm assuming most decent ones have the capability to do so.

I had my directv feeding into my MCE2005, and worked fine,
but had to go thru a long setup so my remote would function,
and the IR transmitter could control the Direct box.

Now I have TWC and works the same, so Dish should be the same.

Yes you can.... but just like Dish TV; you would have to have a satellite tuner box plugged into the AV inputs on your PC. My HT PC is in the living room where there is also and HD satellite box. I run HDMI from the sat box to my receiver/tv, and I run s-video and RCA audio from the same sat box to my PC. It works just fine except of course the TV in the living room has to watch whatever the PC is recording, so I try to schedule recordings for the middle of the night when possible.

If you have a satellite box with the same kind of outputs as the inputs on your PC it will work fine.

I have an idea.

Give us a list of the gear being used, all of it.
