Default Any Chance Of These Getting Released Anytime Soon Or Even Not Soon

Hi - I am trying to decide if I should spring for an BLURAY Player - I have a 46Sony Bravia XBR2 and either need to buy a new conventional DVD player (mine is 10 years old) or buy a Bluray. I need to know if any of these are available or will be available.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
Jaws
Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind
Mars Attacks
Contact
The Wizard of Oz
Planet of the Apes - Original 1968
Air Force One
Clear & Present Danger
Schindler's List
ET the Extraterrestrial
Roswell - the Movie (not the tv show)
The 10 Commandments (with Charlton Heston)
The Thing - Original
The Thing - Remake
Alien

you should go ahead and get a blu-ray player anyways its the future. Besides there are tons over 200+ blu-ray movies already out that you can watch until the ones you have listed come out. Once you get a bluray you wont go back

Is there a site that lists which studios have the rights to certain movies? There are a few I'd like to look up.

Thanks!

My comment to that, why buy decade old low resolution technology for your XBR? Buy the future in up to 8x resolution. New 2nd gen BD players are springing out so research what works for you. See apocalist for released titles.

Hopefully someone will provide a link for that specific information but you could check who's currently distributing the DVD to see which studio/format it lands on. And one of our members made a thread with a nifty colored chart of studio's "alliances" a few months ago and on General Discussions there's a sticky with facts about BD, but

it's majorly divided like this:

20th Century Fox
MGM
Disney
(Touchstone
Miramax)
Sony
(Columbia
Tri-Star
Screen Gems)
Lions Gate

Warner
(New Line
MGMs distributed by Warner)
Paramount
(DreamWorks)
Magnolia?

Universal
Weinstein

(I haven't actually seen a Magnolia HD DVD but they exist, no?) (I have 4 Magnolia Blu-rays)
The Studios in parenthesis are distributed or under the umbrella of the one above.

Blu-ray
Blu-ray and HD DVD
HD DVD

Yes sir, why have an HDTV and not have an HD blu-ray movie player? They're peas and carrots baby!
