Default The Dark Knight re-release.

I am just curious as to how many theatres that it will be re-realeased into. Boxofficemojo reported that it was still playing in 75 theatres as of January 8 and I know that it is still playing in some spots today on January 11. Anyways, will it be a Wide release or Limited? How many theatres can we expect?

I don't get the appeal of seeing it again.
It hasn't been so long since it's initial release and now that I got a blu-ray...

Im a happy camper.

I agree except if they are going to dedicate it to Heath Ledger and have the cast talk about him and how it was to work with him

Well, I almost have to go see it at least one more time in theatres to support the film. I also really wanna go suit up as the Joker again like I did when it first came out.

If it is going to show in my area (Buffalo, NY), I would certainly like to go see it, as I did not see it on the big screen, and my first view of it was on BD. Such a good production!

I'm not sure if this is true, but I thought it was only being re-released in IMAX theatres.

There's a huge appeal in seeing this film in all its IMAX glory. I saw it five times (only in IMAX) and it obviously blows all other presentations (including the BD) out of the water.

You obviously didn't stay long enough. The last End Title just before the scrolling credits was a dedication: "In memory of our friends Heath Ledger & Conway Wickliffe" (the stuntman who died in an accident during the production).

What's the point of paying 10 bucks to see the movie in theatres again when you can buy it for like 15 bucks and watch it 24/7?

Hey! I live a bit north of Buffalo- I'd be pleased to see it released again in a theater. Funny, I too, just saw it for the first time on BD a few weeks ago. It would be fun to see it on the big screen even if seeing at home is much more ideal.

See you there?

We should try getting the biggest January opening ever, if possible. Maybe then the studios would consider re-releasing great films in theaters instead of just slapping them on "Collector's Edition" DVDs/BDs...
