I'm not a big horror movie fan because most of them look like crap to me. This one looks to be interesting and maybe even a bit scary based on the previews.

thoughts?

Dunno, looks interesting.

I finally got a hold of a copy of The Poughkeepsie Tapes. Gonna check it out this weekend and post a review.

+1 I won't be surprised if the scenes in the preview will be the best parts of the movie.

Can a PG-13 movie truly be scary?

This movie is "supposed" to be a true story. I saw a two hour show on TV with the exact same title.

It looked like it could've been a really scary film... but the trailer is way over the top and killed my enthusiasm. I felt like I saw every scare.

I read that the people who live in the house now are just being bombarded by fans wanting to look at their house. They said they never experienced any hauntings or have seen anything and they have lived in the house 20 years

Here's an article pertaining to the incident in question:

http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/around...eal-Deal-.html

There's also a 2 part show airing on the ID channel on the 25th at 9pm & 10pm EST regarding the haunting itself. I believe the ID channel is 285 for Direct TV subscribers.

Wow.... that's some weird shyte! The real story seems a lot more scarier than the movie.

Or maybe out of some insane viral marketing, the house will become haunted this week (and hopefully not cause harm to those currently living in it).

I like how the synopsis says "buys a house in upstate Connecticut" to make it all scary sounding but its not upstate at all...
