Shoud I exchange my 40a650 for the led sammy. We just unboxed it here at work. What are benifits of an led tv vs and LCD. And does anyone know the contrast ratio on that set. It's not listed in the specs.

Default maybe

the real diffrence b/w the 2 is just thickness and contrast ratio. Contrast ratio on the LED TV is 1,000,00 to 1 and a dynamic ratio of 2,000,000 to 1. To me $600 more would be a good investment in better contrast ration with out sacrificing anything else. Their isn't any RCA inputs on the LED ones but most likely you will not have any type of connection except maybe a Nintendo Wii (you can always get component cables for it.

there is no such LCD out with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, whether it is LED back lit or not. That would be the dynamic ratio. Even with LED backlighting, they havent gotten over 5000:1. There is a reason they dont list native contrast ratio, because its not that high.
