"The Room" on Adult Swim - Blu-ray Forum

WTF is with this movie on Adult Swim? I read online it's supposed to be an April Fools Joke. I also read that it's supposed to be a dark comedy and a lot of people really think it's hilarious. To me, it looks like an attempt at a serious movie that just went horribly, horribly, wrong...Like worse than Uwe Boll wrong. It almost looks like it was trying to be porn, but had too much story to stuff in there (pardon the phrasing).

Anyway, what do you guys think? Funny, not funny, tragic?

If this IS going to be on Adult Swim, it will be amazing, don't miss it.

From what I understand, this "film" was made earnestly and was self financed. It started showing in a few theaters around LA and soon enough word spread that it is the "best-worst film ever". There are alot of celebrity champions including Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill etc etc. It supposed to be one of those "so bad it's good" films that takes its ridiculous subject matter so seriously it's hilarious.

I have never seen it, as the only way to see it is in 2 theaters in the Los Angeles area. I believe it just opened in New York as well.

It's on right now (DirecTV). It is REALLY bad, but I must admit I can't change the channel.

That was epic in it's awfulness. This is going to give "Troll 2" a run for it's money.

Best line:
"Well, the results came back - I definitely have breast cancer."
