Bourne Trilogy Problem - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys...I don't post too much but I do read all the time(a number of times a day).
With that being said...Is anybody else having trouble with the Bourne Identity at times not hitting the SUBWOOFER as it should?

Chapter 12 specifically...They are in the chase scene with the mini, in Paris...The song in the background is "Ready Steady Go" by Paul Oakenfold. I know the song well and it has a hell of a bass line throughout, but it isn't there at all in the movie!

The rest of the movie is great, filled with bass and surrounds, but not that scene. It is a disappointment.

I have the Sony STR-DG820 which has the decoders for True-HD and Master Audio, so there isn't the problem with lack of receiver.

Is this deliberate, or is it me?

If anyone else could check that scene and reply I would appreciate it!

I don't have my disc handy, but from memory the Bourne Identity used a remix of that song that was a bit bass light.

Don't know but I thought the poster above gave a good explanation.

I know the song you are talking about isn't even included on the soundtrack so maybe there were some rights issues going on.

Thanks...He did give an idea, but was actually hoping that someone might do a favor an check out the chapter in question to see if it was me or the actual Blu Ray.

Hi I just watched the scene you are talking about and the chase sounds great. The music in the scene was just background and not the main focus of the scene. I feel that if they had the song as it was originaly recorded it would have taken away the whole sound effect of the chase. Using Ultra2 Cinema on my Onkyo receiver it used all 7.1 speakers in my system for the chase and the front speakers for the background music as if it was playing in the mini red car and not outside. They left the outside noise to the chase.

Oh my bad. I'll check it out. But I don't have a ht system. I just have subwoofer hooked up to the display so I may not be much help.
