Just check the discs and if they are scratched, just return them. You have a week to return them after you buy them.

I buy used because it is cheaper. I got Caligula used for $3! Incredible Hulk for $15! Saw IV for $19!

Blu-rays are kinda hard to mess up, and any responsible person (mostly adults) that own blu's usually keep them in mint condition. I've never bought from FYE, but if you're thinking about getting used blu's, check out the Trading Forum on this site. Everyone I've dealt with on here has been awesome and all my movies have arrived in Mint condition

No issues with buying used here.....

But I'd look at Half.com etc.... and stay out of FYEs because the ones you see for "half" are probably half off MSRP, which is probably the going rate for new on Amazon.

The only "bad" experience I ever had was getting a copy with a little tear on the cover art (I didn't mind though). Otherwise, I had no issues with disc quality or bootlegs.

I'd just reccomend making sure that you buy from a good seller.

of my 50+ blu's, about 15 i bought used. they all work great, if they are a good deal and don't show any visable signs of damage, i'd say jump on it.

I agree with everyone as well. I've bought only about 6 or so used BD's from Blockbuster, but I've not had a single problem. Buying used is smart!

Which store is that? Media X-Change? They're changing over my favorite store in Brookfield (CD-Max) to a Media X-Change. That's good news if so, because most are priced $15.99-$19.99.

Buyback$ in the Cleveland Ohio area (I go to one in Steelyard Commons) has fantastic prices.... and you can just check the case etc. before buying.

Got Sleeping Beauty for $11.99 there, and got my copy of Bottle Rocket for $17 I think.... which is great.

I buy used and never had an issue. I just bought TDK for $13. what I do is get a movie from netflix if I need to see it right away and then if I get the hankering to re watch it I buy it used a few months later.

I've also started to buy used (blu-rays and games), mostly from the trading forum here. I haven't had any trouble with anything I've bought used. Unfortunately the only store in my area that I've found so far that sells used BDs is Movie Stop, and their used prices are usually about on par with Amazon's new prices.

No problems with buying used, most of the time when I do buy something 'used' from FYE or Coconuts, they are factory sealed, so it works out nicely with the backstage pass etc

I started doing this at Blockbuster last weekend and the good thing is:

a) you can look at the disc before buying
b) ask the cashiers if they have the blue cases because the cases they will be out for rental are in black DVD cases (ours had a lot of empty blu-ray cases in their drawers)

But I started buying used and also trading on this site and getting used blu-rays and all have been positive experiences.
