Transfering game data. - Blu-ray Forum

Hi Folks,

I've just bought my best friend a PS3 and a copy of Oblivion as a surprise gift. However, he's played for many hours on mine and obviously I don't want him to have to start from the beginning of the game again.

How do I transfer his saved Oblivion file on my PS3 to his PS3?

**EDIT** Preferably without having to connect the PS3s together. Ta.

You could plug in a portable USB flash memory device or USB harddrive, if you both have 60GB PS3's with Memory Stick, Compact Flash and Secure Digital card slots you could plug one of those in.

On the XMB interface:

Game > Saved Data Utility

Highlight the OBLIVION save and press TRIANGLE. Select 'Copy'.

Choose which of your attached storage devices you want to copy to.

To copy the save off the portable storage:

Game > Saved Data Utility > *icon for portable storage you have plugged in*

Press TRIANGLE with OBLIVION save selected. Select 'Copy' and if you're given the option, choose his PS3's harddrive.
