help! new bond not working with bd-p1200 - Blu-ray Forum

The Samsung bd-p1200 doesn't seem to play quantum of solace...we can view the previews, but once play button hit, only get the mgm & warning - than nothing...Samsung claims they do not know when the firmware update will be out; Is there a firmware update from another company compatible with the player, or is there someone in the know here as to when the firmware will be out next? The last one was in Dec...In the alternative, perhaps there is someone with another suggestion? Thanks!

It plays on mine with 2.5fw but there is reports on AVS that Casino Royale does not play now with 2.5fw.... I have not checked my self to see.

Is there a suggestion? Perhaps there is a firmware update for another player which is compatible with the bdp-1200? Or any other solution?

So if I burn the disc on my computer, you think I will be able to play it on the blu-ray player?

Samsung doesnt seem to support their older players much anymore. Probably about time to upgrade!

I am having the same issue with Disney movies. Might be easy to say update to a newer model but for $500 you think they would update firmware for life. I have read they have lawsuits against them for this issue.
