I just finished watching the anime series gantz and I loved it. Just one problem, can someone explain the very end. Did he die or did he survuve?

I read the manga online and loved it. Didn't feel the same about the show and personally would recommend the manga over that.

I can't remember if he dies.

It's actually not very clearly explained. But then again, the anime is only a part of the whole manga story.

there are other stories about gantz? or that universe?

I'm sorry I'm new to anime. I just watched this one, and picked up hack and Ghost Hunter.

I shall explain then...

First Manga was created.. the Lord Otaku said it was good.
Second Anime was created from Manga.. the Lord Otaku said it was good.
Third Evil Corporations were created that prevent the entire anime series from being transfered from manga.. the Lord Otakue said it was good.

They are telling the anime series did not cover the entire manga series and the only way to get the full complete story is to read the manga.

and on that the Lord Otakue said it was good.
