Iron Man 2 Production is Underway

Today is another gorgeous day in Phoenix, Arizona. The sun is shining. The grass at Chase Field is perfectly trimmed for the Diamondbacks to kick off their MLB Opening Day game against the Rockies. And, oh yeah, Iron Man 2 production is now officially underway.

A tired Jon Favreau took to Twitter at the crack of dawn this morning to announce he was off to the set for the first day of filming Iron Man 2. In his words, "On my way to set. Not much sleep, as one could imagine. First day at camp. Very excited."

All those baseball rookies getting their first taste of the big leagues today aren't the only ones with opening day jitters.

It's great to see Iron Man 2 get underway after what seems like an eternity of casting announcements, cast swaps and lowball contracts from Marvel. With most of the business crap shoved under the rug, Favreau and co. can finally get down to banging out a proper sequel.

I can safely say Iron Man 2 is now my most wanted Blu-ray Disc for the fall of 2010. Funny how such a simple pic that Jon snapped this am is so boring yet so exciting at the same time.
