Got a question on earlier south parks: Disc uncensord?

I have recently got into south park and have been thinking about picking up the previous seasons (maybe I will wait to see if they come out on blu) I know season 12 is uncensored (its even uncensored on southpark studios) but what about the earlier seasons, like season 8? Are those disc uncensored?

No they aren't unfortunately.
I have all the seasons and it wasn't until season 11 that they were completely uncensored. Before that, f**k and a couple of other words were bleeped however being South Park, they always got away with quite a lot. (There were exceptions such as the famous "sh*t" episode which was uncensored, all 162 uses of the word )

Yeah, that's something I've thought about too. Especially with the first season in Cartman Gets An Analprobe. I always wandered what Kyle said in that big rant where it was bleeped out.

If they ever update the episode in HD I wonder if they'll go back and remove the censor on that moment. Although I guess it would be cool, I'm not sure I would fully agree considering their strong stance on the Lucas' and Spielberg's of the world.

In Canada actually, they air uncensored the Friday after they air in the States (so the Derby one which I'm yet to watch airs tonight). I notice they try to get at least one "****" in each episode now, I'm almost positive it's been at least 95% of the episodes since season twelve.

I had always figured that rant was intentionally censored; like it wasn't supposed to really be anything.

From season 11 on they've been letting the curse words fly on DVD. I wonder but highly doubt if they'll change it foe the first 10 seasons.

Also, I too have always wondered what that rant is since I first saw it.
