cod 4 - Blu-ray Forum

Is there a handicap on this game?meaning that on free for all in killhouse or shipment, I can switch to my rpd with stopping power, steady aim and a forward grip, lay in about 5 head shots and not drop a guy who is using an mp5 or uzi. I dont get it.

On bigger maps i have been working on my sniper rifles and there hasnt been any problem, other than I think the acog for sniping sucks. I run into this a lot.

I recently upgraded to roadrunner turbo and I am uploading consistantly at 1.2 kbs. Last night I made it a popint to make sure i was hosting so ping was not a factor.

WTF is up with this? Very frustrating

I don't know what you mean by handicap, but I will say that the game occassionally leaves me holding the controller and going "WTF, I unloaded a full magazine at him!!!"

BTW, how do you make sure that you're hosting??

I will keep "xing" out until I open a game where I am the only one on the list and waiting for other players.

Aim for the head, and if you're using the RPD at close range against someone using a MP5 you're probably going to lose. Stopping power will also help.

A few times juggernaut.. For the most part going head to head with someone with a sub mg and you have an lmg, you see to loose. The only time this doesnt seem to be apparent is in hardcore mode. I like to play but there isnt any ffa

#1 they can fire off quicker
#2 they appear to have more stopping power

This is my observation.

I guess its time to break out the ak74

I am holding at level 55 and working on getting all of my golden weapons...pretty tough

I know what you mean. This is part of the reason I quit playing COD4. I was sick of being taken out by a P90 @ 75 yards while my ACOG M4 or G3 fired to no effect. It's a really fun game until things like that start getting to you.

What did you start playing that was better? I never play the games I just play online

Online play is what I'm talking about. I haven't found a better game. Unfortunately COD W@W was inferior to COD4. I'm playing Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 now, but not because it's a better game. Most of it's worse than COD4, but at least the guns behave in a more realistic manner.

This is due to lag. Either you, or the people you are playing against when this happens, are lagging. This happens to me sometimes, too. Sometimes, and not often, it's so bad that they jump all over in front of me, but most of the time, it's just enough of a lag that it looks to me like I've shot the guy, but when he gets me and I watch the kill cam, his perspective was that I had just raised my gun and hadn't even fired off a shot yet.

It's frustrating, I'll give you that.

Not as annoying as the douchebags who feel it's necessary to have their headset on so they can let everyone listen to whatever Tupac song they're toking up to at the time...

Yeah I hate that with the background music...I will turn on my Blue tooth and turn off the mic and set it aside when that is happening. Or my other favorite is the screaming kids in the background.

I used to play this game on computer and it wasnt nearly as frustrating as this. I have contemplated knocking out the tv more than once, on bad days.

Off-times it's not so bad. Like the morning or late evening. It's when all the 12 year olds are on that it lags like crazy. Hopefully, they'll fix that in MW2.

And I'd love it if you could mute people in the lobby while you're waiting for a game. There's only so much BS dick wagging I can take in a gaming session...

I noticed to solve a lot of this is to play hardcore the guns are a little more normal) I just with there was a HC free for all. Headquarters and sabotage are ok, but if you are on a team that is more about fragging than playing the game, it sucks. Even a HC domination would be great...

On a side note, anyone know how to get to the top of the building on backlot? Without oldschool? I have tried and tried and havent pulled it off. I get to the top of the stairs and land in the corner but cant get the rpg to send me up anymore.

The + sign you see when you shoot someone if gaining life back, not indicating juggernaut.
