Default My B-Day is coming up. Help me decide!!

My gf can only afford to spend $100 or less for my upcoming birthday in May. She's in the masters program in school and you know how expensive that is... Btw, she's most likely going to buy them from Amazon.

These are titles I want, but can't determine which one I want to decide on. Which movies would you get that would be $100 or less?

Batman Anthology
Planet Earth
Band of Brothers
Underworld
Underworld 2
Terminator 3

Planet Earth is MUST-HAVE for any self-respecting blu-ray owner so that has to be at the top.

If you want transporter #2 and #3 this may be right up your alley

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=4969

Then you could still get Planet Earth, or Band of Brothers, or whatever

I'd definitely recommend getting Planet Earth though.

EDIT:

nevermind... just realized you said "Underworld" DOH!

Stay away from the domestic Terminator 3 as it only has a lossy audio track. Virtually every other country is getting a release with a lossless track in about a month.

I'm leaning towards these two also. I bought both blind and really enjoyed Planet Earth. Haven't unwrapped Band of Brothers yet, but have heard nothing but great things about it on reviews and from friends; just need to find the time to get into it. I own The Batman Anthology too and really enjoyed it too, tho' it certainly wasn't a blind buy. And I assume you've seen some or all of the Batman flicks. So if you haven't seen Planet Earth and Band of Brothers yet, surprise yourself and go with them!

I did have that on my list I made up earlier, but I took them off since it's not priority.

So far that's my vote since the viewing time is longer.

Default Batman Anthology....

I would be careful with this. Outside the first two, Batman forever doesn't hold up well and we all know about Batman and Robin. If I had to do it all over again, I would buy the 20th anniversary of Batman, and wait for a individual release of Batman Returns.

Tell her that you realize how expensive school is and that you don't want her to break the bank.

Then show her the Planet Earth set at Amazon UK. It's the best version out there and it's region free.

She'll pay around $37 delivered. You will have a set valued at $100. She will save money. It's the thing that both of you are most likely to watch together for repeat viewings.

You'll score loads of points and everyone wins.
