Question New Theater started.

Well i finally am in the process on my garage theater . The room space is 21'x28' and it will be seperated from the house by the garage area. My garage/shop is about 60' so i'm using the shop area. Construction is supposed to start in the next week or so . So should i narrow the room a bit with like an entry way on one side and an audio closet on the other? ; there will be one row of 4 theater seats and one row of three (so i can sit front row center) i am also doing an acoustically transparent screen (130" wide scope). The colors for the room will be black, grey, and royal blue crushed velvet. I would also like to know what kind of remote can control everything without having to point @ the electronics that is crazy priced because i am budgeted for i will be doing a new metal roof on the house as well .

1st pic in my gallery, now the fun begins i gotta knock down that block divider wall to achieve the 21x28 space, then my builder can start, i've already spent 2 days clearing it out as it was used for keeping my racecar.

I received the material for my AT screen today via fedex from Seymour, also ordered my JVC RS-10 yesterday. Got 99% of the wall knocked down so we'll clear out the rubble Sat. hopefully, my builder said he hope's to be able to start building the floo and such next week (hopeing for rainy days ).

Good luck on your build. As for remotes you'll want a universal RF remote or an IR remote equipped with the Universal Remote Control Extender kit. The URCE kit is an RF transmitter that takes the place of one of the batteries in your remote and converts the IR to RF and has a receiver/IR blaster that converts the RF back to IR and blasts the signal to your components - pretty ingenious and relatively inexpensive =<$40.

Default Great Progression/Transformation !!

Love the carpet, the riser area, & the carpeted walls (!!??) should seriously take care of your Audio Indulgences to say the least. I can't wait to see some more pics as you move along. Why do I have a feeling this HT will be in the top 10 on this site?
