DTS to DD

I have a new PS3 but an old Onkyo DD 5.1 receiver. When playing a BD that's English DTS-HD Master Audio, my receiver reverts to pro-logic 2/0. Is there any way to get DD 5.1 from the DTS track? I would think that the DTS can be recoded in the player - after all, it's giving me 2 channels.

And WHY don't they include the English DD 5.1 as an option for those of us without DTS!? I really don't want to buy a new receiver (now that I just dropped $400 on a PS3) and I don't see that anyone sells an external DTS decoder anymore. I guess if I want surround sound, I'm just going to have to learn Spanish or French or Portuguese (those tracks are all DD 5.1).
