It's an interesting collection, but really just depending on the price.
I think most of these are old enough that they've been $5 or less before. Amazon is selling the set for $99 at the moment. I think $49 is where it needs to be at (with a $29/$39 sale price?) To really sell well. I think most interested in those movies already own at least some of them, and $99 is a pricey impulse buy I'm interested to see it it's a boxset with the original cases or a repack in a 10-disc case. |

These are like those Echo Bridge 10-pack sets, only it’s films people give a damn about, and not crammed onto four discs. I already own several of the Blumhouse ones, but I might pick up the other two at low prices. These are Universal, so they’ll come down at some point.

That being said, I don't think I have any of the Blumhouse films so out of these that is worth keeping an eye on. Hopefully it has individual disc hubs, literally that would determine if the set has any value to me (10 disc replacement cases aren't cheap!). |

These kind of vaguely-themed sets of totally unrelated movies drive my collector's OCD up the wall.

I'd replace The Purge with The Purge Anarchy, replace Ouija with Ouija Origin of Evil, replace The Boy Next Door with The Invisible Man (2020), replace Ma with The Gift (2015), and replace Truth or Dare with Halloween (2018). That would be a way better Blumhouse horror set.
Though it sucks Sinister, Oculus, and The Belko Experiment aren't Universal releases, as they would be perfect for this set. Last edited by CrazyBlu-RayFan; 07-31-2020 at 06:11 PM. |

Are they doing this for financial reasons?

If by financial reasons you mean "making money," then yes.
![]() I have 7 of these 10. You could buy the 10 films individually for less than the set, so the price is going to have to come down to make this attractive to most buyers, many of whom will already have at least some of the films. |

I wonder how many of these are slated for 4K. I believe Wanted (2008) was confirmed.
4 are already 4K in the first set. (Bourne Identity, Battleship, American Made and Atomic Blonde) 7 out of 10 in the second set. (Hellboy II, Lucy, Oblivion, Uprising, Pitch Black, Serenity and Waterworld) |
