Arrow Runtime of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Quote:
Michael Bay’s movies are big. His explosions are enormous. His robots are gigantic. Now, his runtime for the next “Transformers” movie is also getting bigger.

A little while back, our pal Frosty at Collider had a very revealing interview with the blockbuster director in which he said that the length of his upcoming “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” was over 2 hours as he was editing it in early February. So, when we spoke with him recently, we made sure to get an update.

“It’s four minutes longer than the last one,” explained Bay, saying that the runtime was locked. “So, go figure it out.”
So that's 147 minutes for anyone who's counting.

I apologize if this has been posted

Good. I hate movies that are cut just because they want to keep them short in order to get more sales.

Thumbs up

Almost 2.5 hours of giant robots blowing everything up. Life is good.

Explosions in Webster's dictionary should be changed to Baysplosions.

More Megan Fox and more giant robots wailing on each other, love it!

And just off the subject:

Our friendly lil' leeches at Asylum Entertainment--the producers of "Death Racers", "I Am Omega", "Sunday School Musical", "Alien Vs. Hunter", and of course, "Transmorphers"--are all prepared for Michael Bay's followup:
"Transmorphers 2: Fall of Man", street date 6/30/09.

(Well, at least they're more aware of the title than most of the mainstream audience is, at this point.)

Sunday School Musical is from The Asylum's religious sub-company Faith Films. Why they need a sub-company is way beyond me.

1 hour of subliminal military recruiting tactics, 30 minutes of blatant product placement, 30 minutes of racist stereotyping, and the rest will be a bunch of scrap metal farting and pissing on each other while sneaking in a punch here and there.

ASS: THE MOVIE

Why not, Lord Vader, nothing about you would indicate you enjoy Transformers as much as I do.

Can't wait, am going with a group of mates like i did for the first one....I had a group of 10 last time around!!!!

I love the fact that it is longer than the first, why the hell not!! I hated the fact that the last 2 Harry Potter were so short compared to the legnth of the books!

I mean the first 2 harry potter fims were both on the 2hr 20min mark, in fact i think that the second hit 2.5 hrs. Yet when the 3rd film appeared it was shorter thab the first yet the book had over 100 pages more!!!, then there was potter 4, a book that was in the region of 600 pages and was shorter than potter 2.

And the potter 5 was only 10 mins longer than potter 3, the book had over 700 pages, what gives?!

Sorry for the rant but the potter franchise started with such promise and dedication to the books and has fallen by the weyside recenlty. I agree that there should be a different director on each film, as this makes each film fresh, but don't mess with the story as they may take out large sections of a characters story.

Sorry for the potter rant on transformers thread but as you can tell it has pissed me off!!!!

Hope the new transformers kicks ass as much as the first one, oh by the way is it true that Optimus Prime dies in this? do we get to see Rodims Prime??? Ultra Magnus???? ohh the anticipation!!!!!

I personally thought Transformer was nothing special, and would have been better had the run time bieng reduced around 30 minutes. Hopefully this one has the story to carry such a run time.

That runtime might hit the sweet spot. I hate watching 90 minute movies, that were cut short to increase daily showings.
