I've searched the forums and have found threads concerning this but i really can't find a "definitive" answer as to what the green pixels moving around are. For example, anything i watch on a tv, especially darks/blacks, has green pixels moving around even when the movie/game/whatever is paused. It is only noticeable from upclose but i was wondering if this is normal or what? And if it matters i have a Panny Plasma 720p 42".
Thanks! |

Nope, it doesn't trail like that. I'm talking about when i pause the movie and walk up close to the tv, i can see green pixels just kind of moving around where the blacks are. When i get a chance, i'll grab a camera and get a zoom in on the tv and hopefully capture what i am talking about. It's only very noticeable up close but not from where i sit (about good 6-7 ft). It's not even that it is distracting from where i sit, i am just very curious as to if it is a tv defect or if that is normal.
Thanks! ![]() edit: (This is also noticeable while the movie is playing, i'm just mentioning that it happens while the movie is paused so that no one thinks its the movie itself) |

i know what you're talking about. i noticed this too watching an SD copy of Yes Man on my toshiba hd-a2(panny 50" s1 display).
To test, I put the same movie into my xbox 360. I then only saw these green "worms" right where it said paused. Im goning to guess its the dvd player, or at least the player tends to bring it out or conceal it, depending on which player it is. |

ok, did a search on avsforum. just turn down your brightness, and the green worms go away. simple as that.
