Default Wasn't there a BD Transformers 1 steelbook already?

I swear there was. Or was it HD-DVD or just SD DVD?

And what about the Transformers 2 steelbook. Did that have interior artwork and was the info on the back removable or printed?

It had some sort of hieroglyphics inside and the back was a paper back that was removable.

Future Shop had the same design for their TRANSFORMERS SteelBook, but issued them on two separate Steels -- one for 'Protect' and one for 'Destroy'.

FYE had the same in the U.S. I remember giving my "Protect" DVD Steelbook to my parents when I moved on to BDs. They still have it.

There are a few different Tranformers dvd SteelBooks in circulation, but most of them are similar to the Protect/Destroy front and back cover. I think the US and Canada were the only ones that got two distinctly different Protect and Destroy releases. There is also a silver/white one from Germany I think that looks similar to the US standard release (Side shot of Optimus on the front cover).

The US got a Transformer 2 dvd SteelBook that is just about identical to the blu-ray Canadian version. Other than the size difference and blu-banner on the blu-ray, the inside of the dvd one has red eyes as well as the hieroglyphics while the blu-ray SteelBook just has the hieroglyphics. I have both versions of the Transformers dvd SteelBooks, so I felt compelled to get the Transformers 2 dvd SteelBook as well as the blu-ray one from Canada.

There is no Transformes blu-ray SteelBook yet, but it looks like Germany will be releasing one soon. I'm hoping it'll be embossed/debossed like the previous dvd releases, the FSK logo is a sticker, region-free (of course), and it has some nice artwork on the inside and back.
