United Kingdom Arrow Academy (off-shoot to Arrow Films)

Just seen johndoyle123's post about Les Diaboliques

Only things I can find so far are:

The Bicycle Thieves (released 2011)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002XT3896/

and..

Andrzej Wajda's Ashes and Diamonds (March 2011) -damned if I can recall seeing this.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004CSKD2Q/
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052080/

http://www.arrowfilms.co.uk/index.ph...07b1ae0aefd7f4 -don't see a separte section there yet.

I like Arrow especially what they do with some of their thoughtful artwork. Great back-catalogue too.

Bicycle Thieves was scheduled long ago, but never came out for whatever reason.
I'm sure it will eventually.

Wow - that's an unexpected title, but let's hope it's a good transfer.

Hmmm... a couple of people in this thread https://forum.blu-ray.com/united-kin...ml#post4035210 don't agree with you.

I have the Polish BD but haven't watched it with a critical eye yet - maybe I need to take another look at it.

BTW, those wanting to support Arrow a bit might be interested in their £2.99 sale http://www.arrowfilms.co.uk/index.ph...category_id=19

All DVDs but certainly a few interesting titles.

Arrow Academy have now announced Rififi as their next release after The Bicycle Thieves and Les Diabolique. Loving the artwork on all of them, shame I just don't have the pennies to get them yet

FYI, in addition to The Bicycle Thieves, Les diaboliques, and Rififi; Arrow Academy also now have The Conformist and Ashes and Diamonds to the Blu-ray collection and Il Generale Della Rovere and The Garden of the Finzi-Continis on DVD only.

Shame Ashes And Diamonds has been delayed till September - hmv still have it listed as a release of March 21st and 'out of stock'. As for the The Conformist - thats awesome news, I'm fairly sure that it never had a uk dvd release?

From Arrow, there should be a press release about them tomorrow, although I'm told no further details or release dates will be available just yet.

And no, The Conformist hasn't been on UK DVD till now.

If I could have only one foreign language film on Blu-ray, I would probably choose The Conformist. Amazing film.

I've asked about region coding on the new titles, I'll let you know if I can get any confirmation.
