Saving Private Ryan - Blu-ray Forum

I did a search and found nothing on this having it's own thread (sorry if I am wrong).

Is anyone else completely shocked that there has been no word on this movie becoming a Blu-Ray yet? Cause I think (if done proper) this movie could be the ultimate Blu-Ray and I am anxiously awaiting it's release. Any news/rumors?

Did you check the wishlist threads? There are hundreds of posts regarding this movie. This thread will end up mixed in with the rest of them.

I can't understand how commercially it makes any sense either. I doubt Jurassic Park or Saving Private Ryan are generating much revenue any more aside from some DVD sales, why not get it out on blu-ray to make more money? Thats what I dont understand about endless delays bringing to biggest titles to blu-ray.

It would make even more money if they wait till Blu-ray becomes even more adopted....selling it at $30 in the future rather than having it sell at $20 or less at the same time.

great titles like this and Titanic and Bad Boys II and much more they not even bother.

Guess they don't want to make good money right now

dont know about saving private ryan but as for jurrasic park they are making a fourth one, in production now I think I would bet they wait and release a set or something before the new one comes out just my $.02.

The sound quality on the dvd release was sweet. I can't wait til the bluray release.

Just a hunch but I think we might see SPR on Blu Ray around the time "The Pacific" (Companion piece to Band of Brothers based in the Pacific Theater) comes out either on HBO or once it comes to Blu Ray and DVD.

IMDB reports a release date of 2009 but most other sources I have seen are saying early 2010. Keep an eye out for it!
