Question about this week's HMV pre-orders - Blu-ray Forum

Just curious as to what day people had pre-orders sent out this week which are due to be released this monday (4 oct). I ask because my copy of Seven wasn't posted until Friday, and my pre-orders are usually posted on a wednesday. Did HMV simply receive their own shipment late, or is this the start of a new trend (posting later)?

I got Anchorman from them yesterday. They posted it on Wednesday.

late shipment i reckon. My intial pre-order I made months ago was on friday still showing item yet to be recieved from supplier in the order history status, even though on the actual item page it was showing as now shipping.

I ended up reordering it and canceling my old order, they shipped it within hours of the new order.

i got my copy of anchorman the other day, but i haven't had seven either, also supposed to have another blu ray from them thats out monday but not had that either yet. they'll come though...

Same here.
Warner were having replication problems on some US titles and I'm just wondering if it carried into their UK releases? Forbidden Planet has been in limited supply as well.

Occassionally they do ship late. It's happened a few times with Warner catalogue titles. It happened with Princess and the Frog, which I ended up cancelling and getting in store. There's a new Doctor Who DVD box set out this week, and that still hasn't shipped, and I'm seriously considering cancelling that and going to find a copy tomorrow.

Thanks for your replies guys. It seems likely HMV simply got their shipment of "Seven" late. Another title I ordered also didn't get posted out then I found out yesterday that it's released date has slipped a week!

I spoke to the HMV person on Twitter, and it was simply a case of Seven going out late. I asked about this weeks The Exorcist, which as someone said is reportedly affected by duplication issues, but they checked and say that nothing has come up just yet (with regards to the problem effecting the UK release).
