I live in one of 13 states that currently have dispensaries for Medical Marijuana. Real doctors more and more are prescribing the use of Marijuana as a form of medication for various illnesses such as depression, anxiety, nausea and pain.
I've noticed that places like Boston just voted to decriminalize possession of an ounce or less of marijuana. This and similar scenarios across our nation seems to be taking place. The ironic thing is that over 800,000 people were prosecuted and imprisoned for Marijuana related crimes in 2008. Our government is currently spending a great deal of time, money and manpower to fight Marijuana users, sellers, growers, etc and that’s fine, except In the same breath, our government is also collecting tax money from sales of Medical Marijuana. Is there a difference? A conflict of interest? What do you think? Should Marijuana be legalized? |
