If you preorder a BD movie from amazon when should I get it?

I preordered a movie from amazon and it comes out the 28th should I get it as soon as the day its released or a day after or what? when should I expect it to be at my door? Thank you for any help.

Just using their standard shipping, I usually get it a day or two after the release day (even if they say it'll be 3 or 4 days).

ok thanks. they said something like i wouldnt get it till may 4 or something. Is that standard for amazon to say that? First time I preordered from amazon.

If you place enough orders with Amazon, it may be worth it to join Amazon Prime for $79/year.

I belong and nearly always get my pre-orders right on street date. They are shipped out on Monday and I receive them on Tuesday.

Of course, this only works if you place enough orders with Amazon in the course of a year.

I've gotten new releases on Tuesday morning when I had Amazon Prime overnight/2 day shipping. Other times with free super saver it's been more like Friday, shipped on Tues. You either have to be patient to wait or pay more locally, it's a toss up on when you want the disc and how much you want to pay.
