Discovered an immensely watchable movie of Vanity Fair (2004) with Reese Witherspoon in the lead role of Becky Sharp/Mrs Crawley. This movie set before, during and after the Napoleonic Wars takes us on a roller-coaster ride as young Becky born into poor circumstances refusing her station in life climbs her way up through the middle class and into the upper classes of English society. The story never takes its subject too seriously and enjoys poking fun at the English upper class. Based on William Makepeace Thackeray classic novel, the movie has its moments of drama as well as the story progresses. Anyone familiar with this movie version will recall how well it has been produced. Blu-rays have been released in Australia and Canada so far. Hope their will be a USA release produced as well. It's such an involved and complex story with a fine ensemble cast that lingers in your mind long afterwards. I sure hope we get our own Blu-ray release here in the USA as well. Just got to wondering how many of our members have encountered this fine movie? Is this movie worth an additional USA Blu-ray release?
