Haven't even watched this myself yet, hot off the press:

MGS4 Trailer

MGS4 CONFIRMED FOR 07 at the end of the trailer.

It's actually the old E3 2006 trailer but re-edited with a new engine, so it has different lighting and runs smoother. So not really new

Let's hope for a 10-minute story-trailer at this years E3 at Santa Monica. July 12 is the day for MGS fans

Haha welcome to the forums. Yes, you're right. It is the E3 06 trailer revamped with a new engine. There is one new scene supposedly in the trailer, and alot of the particle effects have been improved.

For us Europeans it's quite the 12th though - 9 hours difference

Ah and Kojima hopefully ends the rumors about the release and the xbox360 port (that will never happen imo due to the lack of BR

Really need an HD version of this but Konami keep a firm grip on their HD trailers.

I agree. It's so hard to see the changes and how nice it looks unless it's HD. Kojima said he was going to do some things to make it look realistic in HD, as opposed to how most HD games look like the characters have been dipped in plastic.

The PS3 logo is displayed on the 20th anniversery site, where this vid originally appeared as a Flash vid.

Anyway, everything about this new trailer was better imo.

But the only bad thing was, that it looked more 'gray' than de previous version.

MGS3 also looks 'gray' but I think that is intentional, because the game setting is in the cold war era. And movies usually give the cold war theme (or if a movie is set in east-Europe or Russiaa) a grayish look.

I hope the final version of MGS4 will have more 'color'.

And notice in the 'suicide' scene, the color changes all of a sudden, and then changes back (I noticed it when I was watching it at gametrailers). Did you guys also notice this?

The TGS trailer just had the KONAMI and Kojima Productions logos last year and nobody was reading into it back then.

The TGS trailer also seems to lack the strong yellow tint. I noticed a couple more amusing things -

E306: The shine on Meryl's suit.. makes it look like its very tight on a couple of spots.

But it is just the shine.
TGS06: Where young snake puts his hand when posing as a statue at the end.

This trailer is like the Japanese scenes in Kill Bill if you just listen to the audio.

gamezone.com actually shows it coming out 7/01/07 and they are usually right on with their dates.

7/01/07 is too early.

If it has a 2007 release date, it will probably be around the hollidays.

Until MGS4 comes out, I will keep myself busy with: 'Heavenly Sword', 'Stranglehold' and last but certainly not least 'Ninja Gaiden Sigma'.
