Default I know this has been asked before but....

Over the past year I've been thisclose to getting a PSP on several occasions. I posted up on here about it and got some thoughts on it, and then things came up and I didn't get it.

So....it's that time again! lol

Thinking of getting a PSP, and there's a few things I'm wondering.

1. I can play the older PSP games (Chains of Olympus, Ratchet & Clank, etc) on the newer PSP's right? I BELIEVE the PSPGO won't have the ability to play the discs, but I could be wrong there.

2. Is there a cord or an adapter that will allow me to play the PSP on my HDTV Monitor that I have hooked up to the PS3? I've heard about remote play, but not sure if that means I can play the PSP games through my PS3 so I can play (as an example) the Chains of Olympus on my big monitor, rather than the little screen.

3. Is there a big enough difference between the newer PSP's (not meaning the GO) and the older one where it's a definite "screw the older ones, get the newer one"?

The reason I ask is that I can get a God of War Bundle for a little over 100 bucks.

Thanks for indulging me.

Well yeah you can play the games on a TV though the PS3 I really don't like it but it is OK. And yes go ahead and get the Bundle the less you can get it for the better.

So what are the MAJOR differences between say the God of War Chains of Olympus PSP Bundle, and the Ratchet & Clank PSP3000 Bundle.

Aside from the games/movies/extras that come with it.

Meaning obviously the screen will be bigger on the newer ones, but what about expansion slots or memory or battery life, or whatever.

If I get the older one is it going to be something where the gameplay and the little additions to the newer version is going to make THAT big a difference to where it's like a no brainer that you want the newer one?

The money isn't that big a deal, but if it's just a buncha surface improvements that you don't really notice....

Battery life is pretty much the same on the PSPs. If you get any slim PSP(2000 or 3000 series) it would be easier to buy a replacement battery in case your current battery doesn't work right anymore since they don't make the fat PSP battery anymore and will probably have to send it to Sony.

Well to be on the safe side (battery wise) I'm gonna pick up the R&C bundle.

This is what I have in my Amazon cart...whew...lol Totals out @ about 300 bucks.

UMD MOVIES

The Replacement Killers
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

PSP GAMES

Burnout Legends
Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny
God of War: Chains of Olympus

PSP 3000 Limited Edition Ratchet & Clank Entertainment Pack (Black)

Includes the following:

PSP-3000, Power Cord, Power Adapter, Battery Pack, R&C: Size Matters, National Treasure 2 Movie, 1GB Memory Stick Duo, PSN voucher for Everyday Shooter.

Any other accessories recommended? What is the cord I need to play it through the HDTV Monitor?

The only thing i heard was on the 3000 the screen detail is improved. I've not messed with one yet to know how big a difference it is.
