Default CS2 or CS20??

i dont know which polk center to get?? i really like the price of the cs2 on newegg. the cs20 is currently out of stock. im not really sure what the differences are. is it worth the upgrade to the cs20? or should i just get the cs2? whats the difference?

im running T90e's in the front right now. is there a european version of a center from polk? i want everything to match. im not sure if the cs2 would match the T90e's.

From what I remember the CS2 and the CS20 are the same. I also have the
T90e and have been waiting for a center. 119 is a good price for the CS2.

Where's aramis109 when you need him???

yea, where is he?! lol. I have my CS10 on sale as of Today in the Trading Forum ($90) as it's only a bit over a month old, couldn't pass up the CS2's price. IF someone bites, great. If not, i'm perfectly happy with the CS10 now, but I can't argue with the Better Center at that Price Point!

I don't think you would go wrong with the CS20. they are in the TSi series of speakers which is newer than the CS2 which comes from the Monitor series. the 20's have a lower frequency response than the 2's. If I had your front's the 20 would be the center I'd go with.

Get the CS2. It will match your T90e's perfectly as the T90s are like the Monitor 60s. Save yourself the extra dough by getting the CS2 and go buy some Blus! The CS2 is a great center for the price.

well, i am definitely leaning towards the cs2, but i kind of have an OCD type problem. the T90e's are black with the grills off and the cs2 is silver. it would bother me so bad. that is the only thing holding me back right now.

So you mainly watch movies/tv with the grills off? Yea, that might be a little getting used to, but for the $180 (!!!!) off what this was ($299.99), that wouldn't stop me - I'd get used to that slight difference, plus I keep the grills on mainly anyway (pets). I just obv. need to sell my CS10 first. IF I do, great - if not, my CS10 works & sounds FINE anyway.

I guess both of you guys?? haha. The CS2 will timbre match the T90e's spot on. Not saying that the CS20 is far off, but polk has acknowledged that there is a slight difference in sound, although hardly noticeable. I paid $215 for my CS2 way back in June of last year, and that was a good deal at the time. The price it's at now, I'd be all over it regardless of the color and what not. And as for the grills being on or off, I think having them on helps with sound dispersion, but that's just me. I'm OCD too..but you could always remove the drivers and refinish the CS2 faceplate how you want it. I would take a dive at it.

LOL.

Well, it's already been said, but they're the same speaker. Cheaper cabinet on the CS2 and it's a tank. I loved it when I had it though- very solid center speaker. If you're worried about looks and matching, just pony up the extra cash. I'm the same way.

As far as sonically, there may be a slight difference due to the difference in cabinet size but realistically... you'd be challenged to hear it. T90e's, the Monitors, the CS1/CS2/CS10/CS20 all will work together.

This $119.99 for the CS2 is making me to say the least!

Yea, that's kind of what I was thinking Audio wise. - Plus, I keep the grills on most of the time anyway. I've only had them off a few times & will again when I UPdate my Gallery soon, as I think they look Sweet w/out the grills on.

i have a cs1 to go with my t90e's and it sounds perfect

the t90 is 5.25 drivers xs 3

my cs1 is 5.25 drivers xs 2

the cs2 is 6.5 drivers xs 2

why would i need my center to have a bigger driver than my t90e's???

a LOT comes from the center channel. i dont need more 'mod range bass' from the center. plus the drivers of my center match that of my t90e......why would i 'need' bigger drivers?

if someone can explain this to me it would be appreciated

i think it would be alright to stick the same driver size as t90's,why bother trying to catch the ship now, save your self some money...

S2 - brother
CS20 - bigger brother.

but!...if your putting a system together,go ahead and get the CS20 with the fronts, surrounds to match...why not!.
