I did love the first one, one of the best horror movies I've ever seen. Will catch the second one at some point.

I was in Germany when the first film came out in 2005. I was waiting to see it on DVD because it got an 18 rating by the FSK. It turned out that The Descent came out months and I mean MONTHS before it's US release. I was like; "Holy Crap; it's now coming out here!" When I first moved back to Hawaii in the summer of 2006. But, yeah this looks great.

why...O! why????? why they had to make a crappy sequel to a perfect movie. I love the movie Descent, it had an incredible atmosphere with a matching score and the ending was haunting and ambiguous. It did not need a stupid sequel, it looks so generic compared to the first movie.

It was a UK made film with no Hollywood backing, I bought the dvd almost 4 months before it hit theatres in the the states. Same thing with Taken, it came out late last year and has been on dvd and BD in most of Europe for about 3 months.
My only issue is if Hollywood has gotten there grubby little hands on this film it will more than likely disappoint, if it even gets a theatre opening in the states. I'm noticing a lot of American actors in it making me believe this is the case. Not to say I won't watch it, i'm a horror junkie, but more than likely it won't hold up to the original.
Did anyone know there's a JU-ON 3? No theatre release, and still haven't heard of a dvd/BD release, I was able to get screener of it and it sucked. The release date was suppose to be 2 months ago and nothing.
If anyone has Comcast OnDemand pull up Frontiers on Fearnet HD and give it a watch. It's French with Eng. sub and it's nasty and good in that Saw, Hostel, Texas Chainsaw kind of way.
