Looks like i *MIGHT* pick this one up.Despite the VERY hefty price tag, this is my favorite anime series hands down.Since it will have english subtitles, it makes the hefty price tag easier to take.

There were a few other English-subtitled anime releases in Japan that weren't released in the US (or came out years later in the case of Innocence) that came out before Kanon, actually.
Innocence, Utawarerumono, the Patlabor movies, the original Ghost in the Shell movie, GitS SAC Trilogy, the Tenchi Muyo movies, maybe some others I'm forgetting.

He was referring to actually full series (not OVAs and movies), but you are correct, I forgot Utawarerumono as the individual re-releases by VAP did not have them, but the complete series did.
