Hey guys, I am thinking of picking up a copy of 007: Quantum of Solace (PS3) at Best Buy, however, I am not sure if this game is really worth it even though its on sale at $9.99. For those of you that own it or have played it, what can you tell me about the storyline, controls, game play, etc? Thanks.

I just bought it for $10 and think it was worth the cash. I'm not about to tell you it's Killzone 2 or something, but I'm not mad that I spent the $10 (has trophies too).
The downside for me was that it focused too much on Casino Royale and not enough on QoS. And I really hate when a game's AI knows your exact location no matter what. At times I'd hear "we're taking fire, send backup" despite not being in the "room" really and not firing a shot. However, there was a nice mix of weapons and situations. I'd give the game about a 6-7 out of 10, which is well above $10 status. Finished the game on newb setting (not sure why) and it took probably 7 hours. I'll be playing it again on 007 setting for the trophies. The only game at BB that probably isn't even worth $10 is Hail to the Chimp. ![]() |

![]() ![]() Anyway, my haul from the BB was: - Singstar Country Bundle (w/ two mics and USB converter) - Singstar Vol. 2 - Singstar ABBA All for $30 (a normal Singstar game is $40 and the bundle with mics is $60). I must have saved $100-$200 dollars easily. I MIGHT get 007 tomorrow because of the trophies and because it is $6 around here to rent a game so why not buy it for that price. Anyway, is it sad that now that games have trophies/achievements I now find myself not wanting to play the ones that don't as much anymore? |

Hey guys, I just checked Best Buy's website and it only lists the XBox 360 version for $9.99 whereas the PS3 version is $29.99? I also went to my local Best Buy to purchase the PS3 version and it too costs $29.99. Hence, is it only the XBox 360 version that is on sale?

For $9.99, I was impressed. I would still happily pay $19.99 for this game, but not over. The game itself is very fun, but it focuses more on Casino Royale like one member said. The graphics are okay, but the characters don't really look like the real actors. Overall, I still thought it was really fun and worth the price of $9.99. I would give it a try.
